The Illinois Cataloging Mentorship Program (iCAMP) is excited to announce the continuation of its nine-month mentorship program, designed to support professional and personal growth for both emerging and experienced catalogers.
A Year of Learning, Connection, and Growth
Over the course of nine months, iCAMP participants will take part in monthly meetings guided by suggested topics from the iCAMP Mentorship Committee. These conversations provide mentors and mentees with opportunities to connect, share experiences, discuss professional goals, and explore the many facets of cataloging.
Mentees will benefit from the knowledge and guidance of experienced catalogers as they develop their skills, expand their professional networks, and build lasting relationships within the library community. Mentors will have the opportunity to share their expertise while gaining new perspectives through teaching, collaboration, and mentorship. The program is designed to foster a supportive environment where participants can learn from one another and grow both personally and professionally.
Mentors and Mentees: We Want You!
Mentors: Cataloging professionals with approximately five years of cataloging experience are especially encouraged to apply. This is an opportunity to share your knowledge, support a colleague's development, and help strengthen the next generation of cataloging professionals.
Mentees: Library science students, early-career professionals, and library staff interested in developing or advancing their cataloging skills are encouraged to apply. iCAMP offers an opportunity to learn from an experienced cataloger while building your skills and professional network.
The application deadline for both mentors and mentees is Friday, September 11.
